Hey, I'm Anh

A Moment Lover

I believe in the power of human connections and the healing of the heart. It starts with recognizing that for any healthy relationship – especially a lifelong partnership – it’s essential for your heart to find its own peace first. When you nurture your own well-being, you create a solid foundation for love and understanding to flourish with another.

A BIT OF BACKGROUND

I grew up in a working-class family in a small country, far from being a star student. Math and Science weren’t my strengths, and in my culture, excelling in those subjects was seen as the key to a bright future, leaving me feeling out of place. Throughout my childhood and early adulthood, I quietly battled societal expectations while searching for my own voice. My family shared those societal beliefs, which made things even more challenging.

Against the odds, I forged my own path. I earned scholarships in high school and university (both BA and MA), entered a national contest for gifted Literature students, and published poetry and short stories in magazines. With each achievement, I showed my family that there are many ways to find fulfilment, without having to follow the Math and Science track.

These experiences shaped me into a determined, hard-working and resilient individual with a can-do attitude. I believe these qualities guide me on my current journey. I’m excited to see where this path will take me next!

LOVE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY

My photography journey began in 2012 while balancing my BA in Cultural Studies and working as a journalist. My first published photo that appeared in a national newspaper has been embraced for its emotional depth, earning praise like “very touching” and “emotive”. Since then, I’ve explored various photography styles, capturing everything from stunning landscapes to heartfelt moments.

My photography skills continued to develop while I worked for a publishing house and a production company until 2020. As the world slowed down, I pivoted to start my own videography and photography business, which has flourished beautifully. I also had my first publication: a visual storytelling project featuring 23 true stories about hope and faith.

EVERYTHING ELSE

In 2022, I got my first credit in the TV industry and married the love of my life. The following year had me realising that TV wasn’t my calling, so I pivoted to focus on feature films, shorts, and photography. Since 2024, I’ve been working in the camera and lighting department while embracing my journey to become a family therapist. Inspired by my own life experiences, I’m keen on healing and helping others heal too, especially in relationships.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me gardening, collecting rocks at the beach, or savouring a delicious bibimbap and a “sushidog” (a sushi roll that’s too big for its own good).
